Name: Gemima Elisabette Bancroft
Position: Professor–Defense Against The Dark Arts & Head of Slytherin
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Personality:
Gemma is her own her own self. She does nothing to please others and does things for herself. Gemma is outgoing, and loves to be around different sorts of people. She loves to laugh, and have fun just like any other girl her age. When she is around people she doesn't know that well, though she can get a bit quiet and shy. She actually prefers being quiet, and sometimes she even goes out of her way to find somewhere quiet where she can be alone to think. When Gemma isn't in one of her quiet moods she is usually rather spontaneous.
Celebrity: Keira Knightley or Natalie Portman (help me decide Draco!)
Sample post:
Gemma nodded as Kara spoke up with her idea. They were all good but she had made a decision to go with what Remus had said. "Thank you for the suggestions. They were all excellent and I will definitely keep them in mind for future classes." she said to them. "But for today's lesson lets just brush up on a few things from the past. As Remus suggested." Professor Bancroft knew that many of them had already learned what they were about to do already, but it never hurt to go over a few things again. "Today we will be reviewing a few of the basic defense spells and charms. I will put you with a partner, and that partner shall be yours until I say otherwise." She said in a more sterner voice. Whenever there were partners involved Gemma knew that most people wanted to pick there own, but that never worked out.
Professor Bancroft paused for a moment, in case there were any objections, and only continued on when no one spoke up. "With your partner I would like you to practice four different things. The Disarming Spell, the Shield Charm, the Stupefying Charm, and the Reviving Charm." As she said this the different charms and spells listed themselves on the board. "If you don't know the incantation or how to preform one of them, I suggest you ask your partner or look in your text books." she added knowing that at least one person wouldn't know how to even though it was just the basics. "Any questions?" she asked looking around.
"And the partners will be..." the professor said turning to the board and giving it a sharp tap with her wand. When she did names started appearing one by one, and of course there was one group of three since there was an odd number of students present.
As the names appeared on the board she looked away and toward the students again. The decision of how to pair up the students was a difficult one, and in the end Gemma had decided to put to two fifth years with people who would be able to help them out. "For homework I'll expect you and your partner to get together at least once and practice the spells and charms I mentioned earlier." Professor Bancroft said now taking a seat in her desk once again. She stared hard at the door as if expecting another student to walk in. "Oh and trust me I'll know if you've done your homework." she said in a warning voice. "You may get with your partners now and begin."
